School Direct is an innovative Initial Teacher Training programme offering an outstanding, in school, experience with the highest and most rigorous expectations and intended outcomes. Our commitment is to train confident, creative and innovative classroom practitioners who share and embrace our aspiration to excellence.

If you are interested in becoming a teacher and require school experience before applying for a PGCE or School Direct course we are pleased to offer you the opportunity.

At the Catholic High School, Chester we offer two fortnight periods of work experience at different times of the academic year.

If you are interested in gaining work experience at The Catholic High School during one of those times, please contact the school for an application form. If this application is successful we would require you to have a DBS certificate, which can be organised through the school at a cost of £65.*
