On Friday 24th March, over 30 of our Year 9 and Year 10 pupils took part in a creative writing workshop with published author and teacher, Kate S. Martin. They enjoyed creating their own protagonists, by thinking of details such as their ambitions, saddest memory, or what they might have in their pockets! Kate shared extracts from her book Are You Okay, Elliot Hart? which explores issues around mental health, bullying, and being a young carer, and gave us a brilliant insight into the life of an author. Our pupils were really engaged and loved the opportunity to do some extended creative writing, exploring their characters and the lives they might lead.
